There are several excursions that will be offered to conference participants on Wednesday July 14th. Excursion costs are not included in the conference fee.

For those who do not wish to participate in an excursion, there are many free activities available in the city of Barrie including visiting the downtown core, swimming at Centennial Beach, and enjoying one of the city’s many parks.

Excursion 1: Niagara Falls

Visit one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World! This excursion includes:

• Bus ride to Niagara Falls
• Walking tour of Niagara Falls
• Ride on the Maid of the Mist
• Shopping and hiking time around Niagara Fall
• Visit to historic Niagara on the Lake
• A boxed lunch
• Dinner at Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls

Excursion 2: Tour of Toronto

Tour Toronto, the capital of Ontario and the largest and most diverse city in Canada! This excursion includes:

• Tour of the CN Tower
• Shopping at the Eaton Centre
• Visit to the Parliament Buildings and other historical buildings
• Visit to Yorkville
• A boxed lunch
• Dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory

Excursion 3: White Water Rafting down the Ottawa River

We will leave very early in the morning for a once in a lifetime outdoor experience!

• Travel in a 12-person raft through white water on the Ottawa River with Wilderness Tours!
• Pre-registration and payment for this excursion is required, and there must be at least 12 participants.

Excursion 4: Bicycle Tour Around Barrie

 

• Spend half a day biking through one of the most beautiful areas of Ontario.
• Spend the rest of the day, if you like, picnicing and swimming at the beach.

Excursion 5: 30,000 Island Boat Tour

 

• Board the Miss Midland for a breathtaking tour of the 30,000 islands of Geotgian Bay.
  Includes a picnic lunch as well as a visit to a recreation of a Huron Village.
